Lego Technic Idea Book

Hi,

Well I am currently assuming that you all are starting or already building your robot. You might know that a robot is a combination of simple machines. If you know the simple machines, you know how to make the robot.

Now getting lots of simple machines takes inspiration and time. I take photos of the simple machines, I make and till now I made about 40 - 50. But obviously that is not enough. We need to have a wide knowledge to get the most ideal solution. Fortunately I managed to find a book, that had only simple machines built with Lego Technic.

It is the Lego Technic Idea Book.

I have personally found The Simple Machines the nest of the books.
These books are written by Yoshihito Isogavwa.
A Japanese who loves making machines with Lego. This book does not contain instructions to build, rather it contains pictures so you have to build on your own by seeing the pictures. It's not hard, there are plenty of pictures that are more than enough to build the structure. The author uses colors magnificently and will make you want to build every mechanism. I would like to tell you that in my experience it is best to use these Machines as a inspiration.

It has a huge number of machines to help you in every topic. Do not however bend your robot design to meet the demands of the machines. Most of the machines are usually too small and for your robot you usually need 4-5 of them interconnected. You need to think of your own creative ideas to make them big and useful. Remember that the robot is the collection of machines and while this make might help you for the 10%, you still have 90% to do.

HAVE FUN
