Making a Video

Making a video.

Ironically till the time I made an actual video I thought making a video was easy but mark my words it is not.

I struggled a lot during the one (July 8th I was introduced to Moonbots) month to make a video.

Here are some tips and tricks that helped me pull through it.

Even though I used a camera as I didn’t have an video recorder I say it’s best to use a video recorder. Even if your camera has a video recording option, usually the resolution is not high just like my video .My camera
caught too many useless sounds too.

So I say use a video camera or borrow a video camera.
No webcam. Believe me it is useless. Until unless you have an apple laptop or iPad 3 don’t go for a webcam. It’s useless. The resolution is bad and the editing becomes a lot tougher. I screwed the entire first
week trying to use a Microsoft webcam.

The camera I’d go for is Sony Nex – VG 20. This camera is 2199$ and of course Iam not telling you to buy it. Instead rent it. It would cost about 25$ per day. So practice your skit a hundred times and shoot it for one day.

The next big mistake you should not do is keep the fan on. It just spoils the sound of your video. Wipe your sweat and start recording.I also suggest that the team members to by heart the lines rather than seeing them from your computer or iPad. It looks more natural and you can even add hand expressions that way.

My next blog will talk about editing your video.
